Classic Case of flooring: The Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese, Italy

Where history meets future

One of the highest-profile jobs our italian partner CALDIC worked with our specialised floor-screed admixtures recently was the the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese.

People increasingly focus on the quality of the floor and at the same time, their time is valuable. That is how the demand emerges for special products that can cope with the internal and external factors a floor is exposed to, but the drying time of the screed should be as limited a possible. This development forces us to develop new solutions to answer that demand.

Thanks to CALDIC (Italy), KNOPP admixtures are seen nowadays as market leader in providing fast drying and enhancing floor screed in Italy.

One of the most recent and very interesting projects CALDIC worked on was the renovation of the Alfa Romeo museum in Arese, Italy. Built on an impressive surface of 4,800m2, spread over 6 levels, you can see how the design of Alfa Romeo vehicles evolved to what it is today. As part of the extensive construction measures for the rehabilitation of the museum, various screed works had to be carried out.

For this specific case, the renovation of an existing building, we needed to take several factors into account. Think of the degree of humidity and the weight and hardness of the screed. Together with our partner we tested and constantly checked for consistent quality standards in order to meet the requirements of our customer and offer them the right solution.
