Publis Drugstore, Champs Elysee
Publis Drugstore Champs Elysee, France
A shopping temple of the luxurious kind is the Drugstore Publis, directly on the Champs Elysées. More than 20,000 daily visitors have found a spectacular and innovative "shopping home" here. The Drugstore, designed by the American star architect Michele Saee, offers on more than 3.000 m² among other 2 theatres with over 400 seats, cafés, perfumeries, wine, gift and cigar shops, pharmacies, and bookstores.
Saee: "I wanted to create a building without rough edges, organic and feminine, no angles, just curves, open to all light, just steel with laminated and transparent clear glass on top, a state-of-the-art engineering counterpart to the Pyramid of Centre Pompidou". When carrying out the screed work, the reliable and calculable drying ACCELERATORS from KNOPP were used. The readiness for covering was already reached on the third day and the laying of the parquet could begin.
